Why would someone choose to do business with us?
Or, conversely, why would someone choose not to do business with us?
“People do not buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” – Simon Sinek
In business, people tend not to ask why because they assume they know the answer or they should know the answer. Instead of asking or clarifying why, most people make decisions based on what they think they know. Which is a mistake. So, why does The Howell Group exist?
Our purpose is to deliver our client’s mission through the development of people-centric teams and companies devoted to this purpose. We continually ask ourselves; what does it take to ensure a successful implementation of our client’s mission? Is it technology? Is it a procedural set of processes? Is it a group of people and companies with passion and integrity? The answer is yes! Yes to every one of those questions. But there is more, and through many years of implementing different technologies and different contractual process on every type of project possible we have learned by asking questions, listening to the answers and observing behavior.
This requires us to rely on our ability to be intuitive, to recognize problems and successes, to understand people and to create specific solutions. These ideas not only need to be functional, but must also connect on an emotional level because we genuinely care about every person with which we come in contact.
“The complacent company is a dead company. Success today requires the ability and drive to constantly rethink, reinvigorate, react and reinvent.” – Bill Gates
Only companies that act like commodities are the ones who wake up every morning with the challenge of how to differentiate themselves. We have a clear sense of our purpose and therefore, we do not think of ourselves as being like everyone else. We are not concerned about how we compare to anyone else because we do not see it as a competition. We also understand that real achievement does not happen overnight, which is why we are simply and obsessively focused on being better than we were yesterday.
